FPU® Transport System (FPU-TS). BOH designed and fielded the FPU-TS to mobilize any of our 20-ft. Containers (FPU-20 series); Linked 20 Container Configurations (FPU-8-2/Boh Cargo-12; FPU-8-2/Boh Cargo-6/FPU-8-2; and ASLMS) and Containerized Mission Systems (Expandable Wall Command Center, Containerized Command Center). The FPU Transport System enables the user to fully access the FPU Modules inside the Container while the FPU Container is mounted on the vehicle (without the use of any forklift or other Materiel Handling Equipment (MHE)). It does this through pull-out walk platforms along both sides of the trailer which are accessible by integral ladder from ground. The FPU-TS significantly enhances the tactical mobility of the modular FPU System and may be pulled by the MTV, LMTV, HEMTT, PLS, HET truck or any properly rated towing vehicle using a pintle hook for pulling trailers. Features of the FPU-TS include the following: Bed Length: 22; Bed Width: 8 6; Bed Height: 60; Load Capacity: 33,000 lbs.; Tires & Wheels: Same tires and wheels used on LMTV & FMTV vehicles; Axle Capacity: 3 each 15,000 lb.-capacity single-wheel axles.; Suspension: Special design leaf spring & equalizer suspension to accept standard LMTV & HMTV military tires; Hitch: Lunette eye to accept military hitch (hitch height matches LMTV & FMTV vehicles); Brakes: Air brakes with spring-loaded chambers to lock wheels when trailer is not connected to air supply; Front Towing Dolly: Full size fifth wheel & 2 SAE king pin assembly for maximum towing strength and stability; Towing Dolly Lock: Locking pin on towing dolly to facilitate backing trailer; Additional Trailer Towing Capabilities: Pintle hook and glad hand connections located at rear of trailer to allow 2 trailers to be towed by same towing vehicle; Trailer Deck: Solid steel deck to permit hauling multiple commodities in addition to FPU containers; Container Locking Systems: Specialized Twist lock type locking system with locations to match ISO corner blocks on various FPU Systems - both single and linked containers; Cargo Tie-Down System: Folding tie-down rings, recessed in bed of trailer to allow tie-down of multiple commodities when trailer is not used for transporting FPU containers; Trailer Lighting: All lighting to meet FMVSS standards. Tail lights and marker lights to have blackout lighting feature. Electrical connectors front & rear to match military vehicles; Platform / Walk- Area: Slide-out platform system with safety walk area both sides of trailer to allow personnel to access the interiors of FPU containers while containers are mounted on trailer. Folding steps at rear of trailer serve as part of under ride guard while allowing personnel to ascend to walk platform; Handrails: Removable handrail system with upright posts and connective restraint system to protect personnel while working on platform; Underbody Storage: All-steel heavy duty under body storage boxes with storage provisions for transporting walk planks, handrails, and other necessary support items; Air Transport Capability: Trailer design geometry is such that trailer with FPU-20-2 systems can be loaded forward or backwards on the C-17 cargo plane. For technical support, see user manuals. |
| FPU Systems Accessories BULK and PARTS RACKS for Boh Cargo-12 Container. This package is designed for exclusive use in the Boh Cargo-12 Container. The BULK RACK allows configuration of one-half of the Boh Cargo-12 container to move and store palletized and floor load bulk materials. The PARTS RACK allows outfitting one-half of the container to move and store small and medium parts in fully adjustable extending drawers. Both the BULK RACK (Part Number 15310022) and PARTS RACK (Part Number 15310023) have been fully motion tested and certified by the U.S. Army Test Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This combination system (½ Bulk and ½ Parts Racks) has been designed to meet or exceed all known operational field requirements and has been subjected to, and passed, all Rail Impact, Off-Road, Trail, Environmental, and Road Shock and Vibration testing by the U.S. Army. This acceleration testing was conducted to validate the life expectancy of 20 years for this equipment in a fully loaded condition (26,000 lbs.) while enduring stress factors equal to or in excess of 3G. This equipment is designed to accept materiel Classes II, III (P), IV, VII, VIII and IX or combinations of the same. | |

Eight Tie-Down Rings are used to configure half of a BOH Cargo-12 and sixteen are needed to configure an entire BOH Cargo-12 for bulk shipping / storage. | ![]() |
![]() | Drawer Dividers (Standard Modules). Standard Module Drawer Dividers are configured within each of the BOH Modules drawers. Extra can be ordered to increase the number of compartments within each drawer and lead to greater reduction of the units overall footprint reduction. Drawer Dividers coming in a variety of sizes including, 4, 6, 8 10, 12 and 16, to fit securely within each of the drawer sizes BOH offers. | ![]() |
| Drawer Dividers (Stackable Modules). Stackable Module Drawer Dividers are configured within each of the Stackable Modules drawers. Extra can be ordered to increase the number of compartments within each drawer of the Stackable Module. The dividers increase the amount of commodities that can be stored within each drawer. Drawer Dividers coming in a variety of sizes including, 4, 6, 8 10, 12 and 16, to fit securely within each of the Stackable drawer sizes BOH offers. | ![]() |
![]() | ISO Locks. ISO Locks allow the BOH Cargo-12 and the FPU-8 series container systems to joined together to form a 20-foot, ISO certified configuration. The ISO Locks allow they joined container systems to be lifted and transported as one single unit. These heavy duty locks can be easily removed allowing the two container systems to serve different mission requirements. | ![]() |
| Module Security Locking Bar. All of BOH Modules are equipped with a Security Locking Bar standard. These heavy steel bars provide security and brace the module drawers during air transport. They are certified to withstand 3Gs and allows for transport aboard USAF C-130, C-141, C-5 and C-17 aircraft. The high Security Locking Bar accommodates 5200 and 5300 series locks. | ![]() |
Module Slip Cover. The all-weather, mildew- and flame-resistant (MIL-PRF-20696 Type 2, Class 2) Module Slip Cover is designed to provide protection from debris intrusion and inclement weather when placed on any FPU Module and when using the Module Transfer Plate for transport. Covers are available in Tan or Green. |
2-Position Module Transfer Plate (MTP). The 2-position Module Transfer Plate (MTP) enables any FPU Module or Glide-Out Bulk Storage/Shipping Rack to be chain-secured and transported on a flatbed vehicle (MTV, MTVR, LMTV, 876 Flatbed) with a nominal width of 8 feet. Two or more MTPs may be locked together permitting multiple modules to be secured and transported, as appropriate, on the vehicle. The MTP enhances the mobility options for the FPU System user down to the module level. |
