“System of Systems” - How? BOH’s patented Field Pack-Up (FPU ^® ) Mobility System is a custom-configured “System of Systems”. It is a side-load, all-steel container system capable of rapidly mobilizing multiple classes of material. It does this by independently configuring the container with any of the 34 different module inserts that fit together as one transportable unit over Ground (Flatbed, Mobilizer, PLS, HEMTT-LHS and Rail), Sea (throughout ship, including stacking 9 high on top deck) or Air (C-130, C-5 and C-17; HCU-6E/463L pallet-compatible) platforms . The modules are interchangeable and interoperable between our FPU-20 (8’ x 8’ x 20’) and FPU-8 (8’ x 7.6’ x 7’) series containers. All standard supply modules, 19 total, feature adjustable drawer slides and drawer compartments to enable the end user to change the FPU’s configuration depending on small, medium, large material mobility requirements. This flexibility is afforded immediately upon product delivery. FPU modules are capable of moving/storing multiple classes of material: Class I, II, III (P), IV, VII, VIII and IX. These modules can be used within the FPU containers or easily removed and used fully loaded on a daily basis in garrison. Thus eliminating the need to pack, unpack and or re-pack supplies when mobilizing. The FPU System also includes ISO-configured office automation, command and control, and bare base support configurations.
